Shooting In Sterling Late Saturday Night

Sheriff Investigating Shooting Death of Sterling Man on Trestle Terrace, No Threat to the Community

(Sterling )The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Sterling, Virginia man that occurred overnight in the 45500 block of Trestle Terrace in Sterling, Virginia.

This area of Sterling is off of Magnolia Road and Church Road west of the Cascades Parkway but before Route 28 in the neighborhood opposite the Claude Moore Park area.

Around 12:45AM early Sunday morning, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence for a report of a shooting that occurred after two roommates, both adult males, were involved in an altercation.

One of the males was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

There was no threat to the community as the incident was contained to inside the home and all subjects involved in the incident have been identified.

No names will be released at this time pending notification of next of kin and the continuing investigation.
