Loudoun's government will hire six employees to focus on transportation issues, which continue to be priority matters in the county.
The Board of Supervisors voted 5-1-3 on Wednesday night to add three full-time jobs in the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure, two full-time positions in the Department of Management and Financial Services, and a lawyer in the county attorney's office.
Supervisor Eugene A. Delgaudio (R-Sterling) cast the sole dissenting vote.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday night voted to spend $65,500 to sponsor the 2015 World Police & Fire Games.
The board's vote was 5-1-3, with Supervisor Eugene A. Delgaudio (R-Sterling) being the sole dissenter. Supervisors Geary M. Higgins (R-Catoctin), Kenneth D. Reid (R-Leesburg) and Suzanne M. Volpe (R-Algonkian) were absent when the vote was taken.
