Friend of Sterling Friend Supervisor Herrity Hosts Teen Job Fair Saturday March 21

Long time political leader and elected official Supervisor Pat Herrity visited the
teen job fair in Sterling and invites teens to his own job fair too.

On Saturday March 21st he will be co-hosting an opportunity expo and job fair with
the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, the West Springfield High
School PTSA and local high school organizations (FBLA, DECA, and SGAs)
from Lee, Edison, Lake Braddock, West Springfield and South County high
schools.

The event will focus on students and younger job seekers
looking for full time employment, after-school employment, seasonal
positions, internship opportunities or volunteer opportunities.

Businesses are invited to participate in this event to showcase their
companies and the positions they have available. Employers seeking to
secure space at the job fair can should visit the Greater Springfield
Chamber's website Employer Application -http://tinyurl.com/md2uyf3

The job fair will be held in the cafeteria at West Springfield High
School on March 21st from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This event is free for all
students. For more information, visit

No RSVP is needed, but you can "Set a Reminder" by entering your email
address on the linked website.

Although the job fair is not strictly for students and young job
seekers, our area high school organizations are making a push for
students and parents to take advantage of this event to line up
after-school employment, an internship, volunteer opportunities or a
seasonal position for the summer.

This job fair is an opportunity to connect our businesses with our young
job seekers, and I am happy to partner with the Greater Springfield
Chamber, the West Springfield PTSA and our local high school's business
clubs to achieve this goal.
