Some Accomplishments of Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio

1. TEEN JOB FAIR
For 7 years, Sterling Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio has organized companies to hire over 1,000 of Sterling's teens each year. Over 5,000 teens have gone through the hiring process as a result.

2. $84 MILLION FOR SCHOOLS IN STERLING
Securied $84 million in funding to renovate old schools including new science and arts classes and 2 new gyms at 2 elementary schools, a new lobby for Park View HS and more.

3. $50 MILLION FOR SAFETY, COMM. CENTER AND LIBRARY
Supervisor Delgaudio placed in the budget and the voters approved two bonds to build a new fire and rescue station, to relocate and quickly open a new 15,000 square foot library and to renovate the Sterling community center. Like the giant C. Moore Rec Center, this will be a great asset for Sterling.

4. NEW STERLING SHERIFF STATION
Years ago Sterling District needed a sheriff's station and it was Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio who found a location and pushed through construction of the $10M station in record time.

5. CONGRESSIONAL ACTION TO HELP STERLING
Sterling needed, and got, federal resources to combat a terrible gang problem and Congressman Frank Wolf and the FBI came to Sterling to put an end to the rampant gang violence.

6 . YOUTH SPORTS FACILITIES
Supervisor Delgaudio obtained full funding for the new $1M artificial turf at Park View HS. A new $1M field house was built. Dominion HS teams use it too. Delgaudio spearheaded private funding for new facilities at the L. L. Boys Football League and helped raise a private $100,000 gift for a new playground at Sully ES.

7. SINK HOLE REPAIRED IN RECORD TIME AND MORE
A giant sink hole was repaired in just months at a cost of $600,000. A thousand potholes were repaired this past summer. An old abandoned house was removed. Two old Civil War homes were restored or preserved at no cost to the taxpayer. Supervisor Delgaudio fought for what was right.

8. QUALITY OF LIFE LAWS PASSED
There have been many new Delgaudio quality of life laws pushed by Supervisor Delgaudio: eliminating flop houses, increasing penalties for overcrowding, fines for slumlords putting too many people in unsafe conditions, outlawing cars on lawns, abandoned cars, houses with tall grass and outlawing street beggers.

9 LATEST IN TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION
Supervisor Delgaudio publishes the Delgaudio Report to citizens 3 times a year, hand delivers a Community Update to homes, is on facebook, twitter, conducts frequent meetings and sends out citizen surveys regularly.

10. $4 Million in VDOT Paving Improvements this year, Total of $100 million
Most of the major roads and 30 secondary roads in Sterling have been re-paved by the Virginia Department of Transportation as requested by Sup. Delgaudio. Sterling has seen over $100 million in other interchange improvements or Route 7 improvements in 16 years including 3 major interchanges on Route 28 and new lanes along Route 7.
