STERLING has Redskin Fever Sept. 23

>>>New Verizon Manager Checks In

We have ALL been demanding Broad Band or begging for it. Now it is
coming to parts of Sterling. But the disruptions and mistakes by
contractors cause heartburn too and I have invited the media to help me
sometimes with Verizon. Thank you to the media. And to Verizon.

Catherine Hogan Lewis the new manager for Verizon has checked in. She
has assured me that she will personally attend to complaints from
Homeowners and Homeowner associations to help with fixing problems due
to the current massive upgrades in this area.

(Quoting Lewis) "As you are aware, we are currently in the midst of a
significant upgrade to our telecom facilities in the area. Although it
has been a challenge minimizing impact to our customers during this
aggressive build, already consumers in the area have been reaping the
benefits of significantly improved bandwidth by ordering FiOS data.
This week, local businesses will begin to benefit from this advanced
network,....regarding Verizon's FiOS for Small Business. Based on the
build status, this will initially impact businesses in the eastern part
of the county, including Leesburg, Ashburn, and South Riding. Later this
year, we hope to complete construction for this new network other areas
including Sterling
and Broadlands."

THANK you Manager Lewis. Keep communicating. Already two HOA's issues
are being addressed. Are there some issues out there ladies and gentlemen?

Memory Lane: Back in 2002, the sponsors presented their annual property
rights 2002 award to Mrs. Caren Page, the wife of the late Sterling
Planning Commissioner Tim Page. That was a golden moment for all Loudoun
taxpayers. I recently saw the former Mrs. Page and she has remarried and
extends her warm regards to all who honor her and her former husbands
wonderful legacy of inspiring leadership and Christian love, especially
the Citizens for Property Rights.
