Food Collection

December 17, 2005

The annual food collection by a former Sterling resident nicknamed
"Santa Claus" continues to 6 p.m. today and again Sunday, Dec. 18 until
4:30 p.m. Thank you to all of you who have been responding generously.

Let's fill up the truck again like we have for 37 years.

And the many residents of Juniper Avenue, as usual, have their lights up.

Crowds from all over are visiting and singing.

All of Sterling has put up their Christmas lights. Thank you for
bringing Christmas to Sterling once again.

The Board of Zoning Appeals voted to uphold the zoning administrator's
opinion that Herndon is in violation of the laws in attempting to build
a day labor site.

Finally, thank you to the Sterling citizens who have stood against this
taxpayer paid for job center for illegal aliens. I asked deputies in
recent days to protect these citizens, who had been threatened with
violence, so that they could continue to be free to speak against the
lawlessness of the Town of Herndon.
