I will be at the Citizens for Property Rights Fall Festival form 1 to 4 p.m. in Arcola today.

Last night I attended the Home Coming Parade and the Patriots Football game at Park View High School. On Monday there will be a Board meeting and on Tuesday night a Public Hearing that may go to at least 10 p.m.

PROCEEDS GO 100 PER CENT TO TIM PAGE FAMILY

I will be in meetings, but lets get a donation to benefit the family of Sterling's Former Planning Commissioner, the late Tim Page, as he is being remembered Oct. 21.

OKAY HERE IS THE DRILL.

On Monday, October 21, 2002 at 11:00 am at the River Creek Club there will be the first Tim Page Golf Tournament. 100% of all net proceeds are to benefit the Page Family. Cost per player is $125.00. A Hole Sponsor is $100.00 registration is due by October 7, 2002. I will be there all day.

WHAT DO YOU GET?

The price includes greens fees, carts, door prizes, lunch, hors d'oeuvres and Auction following the tournament. Remax Select is staffing the tournament, that is the office where Tim was Number One. Volunteers from Rotary, my office, and Tim's church are also helping out. And the response so far is great.

WHO WILL WIN THE FIRST TPGT?

For you Golfers: This is a tournament! If you do well, you will be recognized as the excellent sportsperson that you are. Yes, there are trophies too.

There are some good players registering so you will have a challenge to win. SO GET YOUR REGISTRATION IN NOW.

Or sponsor a hole. All sponsors will be listed in the program.

I have been told that if you are not golfing and would like to be around for the awards presentation, the presentation will occur between 4-5 pm. You will be able to bid on some auction items , too.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Responds to Montgomery County, MD Shootings

In the morning hours of Thursday, October 03, 2002 the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office placed a lookout for a white Isuzu truck to all Field Patrol Deputies.

Deputies were told to be on the lookout for two individuals in a white delivery truck, possibly an Isuzu or a Mitsubishi, with black or purple lettering and a damaged rear lift. The lookout was in response to a spree shooting that occurred in neighboring Montgomery County, MD between the hours of 6:00 PM yesterday and 10 AM this morning.

Immediately extra patrols were placed in the area of Route 15 at Point of Rocks, MD and the Potomac River crossing at Whites Ferry. Both of these points have direct access to Loudoun County, VA from Montgomery County, MD.

As a safety precaution extra patrols (were)placed around Loudoun County Schools for (Thursday). The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will continue to have extra patrols in the area of local schools throughout the day (Friday).

(Please note that there have been no direct threats against any schools in these incidents and that the measure is only being taken as a safety precaution.)

Sheriff Stephen O. Simpson reminds residents if they see a suspicious vehicle to immediately contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-1021. It is important in reporting a suspicious vehicle to try and obtain an accurate description of the vehicle and if possible any license plate information. (end of official message).
