That's how I feel based on some recent news reports. Thank you for all who have called or written.

Today

Today, July 4, I will be at Claude Moore Park, from 10 to 1 pm. for their festivities which include pony rides for young children. Later today, I will visit Morton Blackwell's Soiree (see below) as is my custom. I will go to the Herndon fireworks at Bready Park (814 Ferndale Avenue) where half the crowd is from Sterling. I will try to say hello to you if I see you.

Official description of today's events:

Looking for something to do before the fireworks start? Celebrate the Fourth of July at Claude Moore Park on Friday, July 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy an old-fashioned holiday setting in the park's historic area. Activities include musical entertainment, an Amazing Reptile show, Frogshackle Nature Center, hands-on nature displays, farm animals and food available from vendors. Take pony rides and hayrides and play old-time games. Tour the historic Lanesville Ordinary and see displays from the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum. No registration is required.

TOMORROW, JULY 5

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 5, I will host coffee and bagels at 10 a.m. at Jimmy Gs restaurant under the Clocktower opposite the Burlington Coat Factory. There are some local private events that I will be attending around the district.

YOU are invited to my coffee and bagel gettogether.

Monday, there will be a meeting of the Board of Supervisors where a local Sterling star will be presented with a county resolution at 9 a.m. and there will be a public hearing on Tuesday July 8 starting at 6:30 p.m.
