Shooting At Safeway

October 14, 2006

3 Sterling residents are dead. At the Public Hearing of the Board of Supervisors in Leesburg, I asked for prayers for the deceased.

Very early this morning I visited the crime scene and expressed support to the many deputies and Sheriff Steve Simpson who had been up all night at the crime scene.

The entire Safeway parking lot was roped off and stores were closed at the shopping center.

Here is a brief report. >>> Investigation Continues in Apparent Domestic Related Triple Shooting The Sheriff's Office is investigating a triple shooting in Sterling that occurred Friday night that appears to be domestic related. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Around 10:40 PM Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Sterling Plaza on Sterling Boulevard for a report of gunfire. Upon arrival deputies discovered two victims, Alexander Enrique Rivera-Moreno, 22, and Claudia Vanessa Ayala-Duron, 22, located in the parking lot in front of the Safeway grocery store. Both victims are from Sterling.

A third victim, Christopher Lee Beech, 24, of Ashburn was located behind the grocery store near the loading dock. All three victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The shooting appears to be an isolated incident and at this time there does not appear to be a threat to the community Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-0475.
