>>> FRAUD ALERT ABOUT ANTI-CHRISTIAN FILM
The book "The Gold Compass" is published by Scholastic and is part of a collection of books. This book directed at young children is a mass media attack on Christians. What makes this book worse is that a movie based on the book premieres in December "for Christmas" and the ad campaigns make it look "pro-Christian". Both the book and the movie introduce atheism to children. The story ends with Adam and Eve killing God.

Please warn your friends and families about the false advertising of this bad movie and book. This is a Hollywood assault on C.S. Lewis and the principles of Judeo-Christian beliefs directed at our children under the guise of "pro-family entertainment".

>>>>Opportunities Available to Participate in County Government

If you already serve on a citizens advisory committee representing Sterling, please send me your updated resume so that I can nominate youfor the next term which begins in January 2008.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors encourages residents to become actively involved in their county government. There are currently vacancies for representatives on several county and regional advisory boards, commissions and committees.

The Sterling Planning Commissioner is Helena Syska, the Commissioner on Aging is Gordon Mackay, the Commissioner on Women is Jami Meador and I will re-appoint them in January. They have all indicated they want to continue to serve. And there are other advisory committees to think about.

Information about each board, committee and commission is available on the Loudoun County Government Website at www.loudoun.gov/advisory

Today,Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio (Republican, Sterling District, Loudoun County) made the following statement concerning the presentation of special awards to students in Sterling District.

The honor roll students also received over $135,000 worth in gift cards, coupons, and discounts from local businesses.

Years ago I started writing hundreds of Letters of Commendation, and over the years thousands of letters, and working with local businesses to donate coupons, gift cards, and discounts to the honor roll students as a way to congratulate them for their hard work and academic success.

Sterling Middle School and Park View High School's honor roll students just received coupons, gift cards, and discounts from Chick-Fil-A, Ashburn Ice House, Glory Days Grill, Shadowland Adventures, Foster's Grill, Foot Locker, Jerry's Subs and Pizza, Dick's Sporting Goods,Tiger Den Martial Arts, and Papa John's Pizza.

The twelve "All A" twelfth grade honor roll students at Park View High School all received special giftsalongwith my Letter of Commendation and the local businesses' coupons and discounts. Four $25 gift cards from Foot Locker were given to four of the "All A" twelfth grade honor roll students and eight free pizza coupons from Jerry's Subs and Pizza were given to the remaining eight "All A" twelfth grade honor roll students.

THANK YOU to all of the businesses that donated so graciously to Sterling's honor roll students. I also want to recognize and thank Virginia Regional Transportation Association, Sheetz, Charlotte Russe,Bowl America, and Maggie Moos Ice Cream for their past donations.(unquote)
