PIT BULLS BITE in Sterling

August 6, 2008

Today the head of Animal Control asked Sterling Americans for their assistance to locate two dogs responsible for two dog bites in the area of Lost Trail Terrace and the WO&D bike path in Sterling.

The dogs have been described as being medium to large size Pit Bull/Mastiff type dogs, brown with brindle markings and white patches. The dogs are not wearing collars.

The dogs were last seen running toward the Trailside subdivision. If you have seen these dogs or know of a dog(s) fitting this description, please call Loudoun County Animal Control at 703-777-0406.

Repeat: If you see them call 703-777-0406.

Lost Trail Terrace is located near Cedar Green Road south of Ruritan Circle over by Route 28 in Sterling. This is the Townhouses with some retail stores, warehouses and light industry around them and the older Sterling community to their eastern border which has the WO and D bike path as the buffer in common.

Please tell your neighbors about this and distribute this notice as soon as possible.

The Loudoun County Department of Animal Care & Control is located at 39820 Charles Town Pike, Waterford, VA which is 20 miles from here, but they have been distributing flyers and assigning some Animal Control personnel to warn residents door to door in Sterling.

Department information can be found at www.loudoun.gov/animals.

Call me at the office 703-771-5819 or at home 703-421-4599 after five p.m. if you are having any kind of problems with these animals and the animal control staff is not responding.
