DEA Agent Warns About Growing Abuse Of Prescription Drugs

I met with members of the Loudoun Crime Commission and got a full report many drug cases today deal with prescription drugs. The agents offered methods to discard prescription drugs and I asked for a date and they plan on having another "collection date" in April similar to the recent collection date. The agents gave a renewed committment to be vigilant on the gang issue and the sale of narcotics and other dangerous illegal drugs. Many Drug Enforcement Agency agents live in Loudoun and expressed appreciation for the welcome Sterling residents have given them.

End of Month Trees On Sterling Boulevard

There may be a planting of 100s of trees on Sterling Boulevard in the next two weeks. Beep your horns in celebration if you see workers planting trees.

THIS SPRING 2011-- CONSTRUCTION AT STERLING BLVD.AND RT.7

After responding to three hundred (300) concerns from the Virginia Department of Transportation, Loudoun County will begin construction on safety improvements at Sterling Boulevard and Route 7 in the "Spring 2011" time frame. I will get more details at a meeting tonight and give you more. The improvements include dedicated turn lanes by adding another lane to Route 7. This will improve traffic effeciency tremendously. The funding has been available due in part to a process that I pioneered: selling useless county land that there is no public use planned for.

MORE CONSTRUCTION-- PRIVATE PROJECT

The New Boston Fund property management group and high tech company Rockwell Collins celebrated their groundbreaking for a a massive construction in the southern end of Sterling Park in the industrial area just south of the W and OD trail.
