>>>TIME for filing complaints about Tall Grass?

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow citizens.

There is a central website to file online complaints about tall grass, overcrowded houses, zoning violations, building code violations.

At my request the staff centralized and put the citizen complaints on one website.

Instead of filing complaints with a dozen different departments, it is now centralized and has cut the complaint process time to respond. Instead of having departments receive complaints for the same issue that is handled by another department, it now gets to the right department the first time.

Of course, I still respond to complaints and deal with many hard cases. But to speed the process for most of the cases please use the on-line website

** PARK VIEW HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT GRADUATION: LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS **

Park View High School is preparing to host its 24th annual all-night, alcohol/drug-free graduation celebration on June 20th, which will be held at the school. Our goal is to keep 300 teens off the street on that one special night that many of them are tempted to celebrate in dangerous ways, the night of their high school graduation.

Project Graduation is a celebration to honor the accomplishments of the senior graduates with games, fun, food, prizes, cash scholarships, and a chance to be with their friends and say good bye to their high school years before they begin their careers or go on to further education.

For the last 24 years, the community of Sterling has supported Project Graduation both in terms of donations as well as volunteers.

** VOLUNTEERS **

Project Graduation is run under the supervision of all adult volunteers involved in the planning, publicity/promotion, running activities, prize distribution, food, security, setup and take-down of decorations, and much more.

We are now looking for volunteers from the community to help support Project Graduation. (You don't need to have had a student at Park View to be a volunteer.)

If you would like to help, our main volunteer time is on June 20th starting at 10:00 PM and going until 3:00 AM. We will have people there all night long up until 5:30 AM for clean-up.

Please contact Brad Jefferson at email: [email protected]
