Bob McDonnell: $6 Billion Tax Increase Man

March 3, 2013

$6 MILLION MAN-- BOB MCDONNELL

There is a lot going on. This is a special $6 billion Tax Increase edition the of the Sterling American.

Many of you made me your Sterling District candidate for Sterling Supervisor in 1999,
2003, 2007 and again in 2011 because I will always ask the questions and answer to you
all your questions.

I wrote you a few days ago and told you of a proposed tax increase-- the largest tax
increase in recent Virginia history. I opposed it and explained why it was not necessary.

I told you Mark Obenshein and Bob Marshall spoke against the proposed "transportation" tax
increase. Long time conservative Senator Dick Black spoke on the floor of the Assembly and in
the Loudoun Republican Committee against the proposed tax increase.

It was passed by the Virginia General Assembly and the Senate and sits on the Governor's desk submited to him for his signature at this moment.

Call the Governor and tell him to "Veto the tax increase or become the $6 Billion Tax Increase Man".

Bob McDonnell's office number is 804-786-2211 and his office is "office ofthe governor, Patrick Henry building, 3rd floor, 1111 East Broad Street Richmond Va. 23219" You can call, write or use the "contact the Governor" at

You have the chance and opportunity to call Governor McDonnell and urge him to veto to
the $6 billion tax increase. McDonnell can become the $6 BILLION TAX INCREASE MAN or he
can veto the bill and ask legislators to go back to work.

Tax and spend liberals in both parties are trying to force Sterling Americans to have $6.1 billion in tax increases on their backs over the next five years, including:

Sales tax hiked from 5 to 5.3 percent (6 percent in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads)

Diesel tax hiked roughly 5 cents per gallon (wholesale tax)

Personal property tax hiked from 3.5 percent to 4.3 percent

Tangible personal property tax hiked to 5 percent

3 percent Northern Virginia hotel tax

Car tax hiked from 3 percent to 4 percent in 2013, and up to 4.3 percent in 2016

A tax on wholesale gasoline of 3.5% (one gallon of gas is currently almost $4 so this wholesale tax equals 14 cents per gallon which negates the argument that the gas tax has been eliminated).

An internet tax which, if the federal government is unable to implement, will increase the wholesale gasoline tax from 3.5% to 5.1%

Again, call the Governor and tell him to Veto the tax increase. Bob McDonnell's office number is 804-786-2211 and his office is "office ofthe governor, Patrick Henry building, 3rd floor, 1111 East Broad Street Richmond Va. 23219" You can call, write or use the "contact the Governor" at
