Suspicious Package In Sterling Declared Harmless

A suspicious package discovered in Sterling has been delcared harmless by authorities.

From approximately 7 pm to 9 p.m. tonight Saturday night, September 14 an investigation occured at the shopping center at Drainsville Road and Route 7 in the parking lot by the McDonalds. The area was cordoned off while authorities from a variety of services investigated.

I was on the scene during the incident and after the incident was declared over.

This was quite a large contingent of first responders and on behalf of Sterling, thank you to all of them for giving a Saturday evening up to help Sterling.
