Sterling Teen Snow Removal Squad Activated.... Neighbors Help Neighbors.....VDOT makes progress

All major highways are completely plowed at this time (Route 28, route 7 and
Sterling Blvd. are plowed to the pavement).

The secondary roads are being plowed. Side roads will be last in the
order of snow removal. I am reporting side roads that are unplowed today.

TEEN SNOW SHOVEL BRIGADES ACTIVE

Teens are shoveling their own houses out and then going to neighbors.

Thank you to the many teens working and all the other volunteers.
Thank you to the good neighbors who hire the young men.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

Thank you to the men and women who are checking on their elderly
or frail neighbors and digging them out.

WEB BASED NEIGHBORHOOD PLOW TRACKING MAP

VDOT has activated a web-based neighborhood tracking map that monitors
the status of plowing in Northern Virginia neighborhoods when it
snows two inches or more.
